Talking about juggling children in this thing we call life isn’t something fans would expect to come out of a conversation with Bea from the Peter Rabbit franchise…

How to deter pesky animals from their vegetable garden, sure!

But when you’re talking to the star behind the character, Rose Byrne, the topic of how we juggle life as working mums is bound to come up.

Returning to her role in the Peter Rabbit sequel, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, the Aussie star shares what it’s like being on set with animated bunnies before switching to mum mode with her two little ones at home. And yep, we can relate to all of the things!

“It’s still very chaotic!”

With her own little bunnies, sons Rafa, 3, and Rocco, 5, running around at home, Rose knows all too well what it’s like to try and juggle mum life. Or at least try to.

“I think it’s all a work in progress. It’s still very chaotic,” she told Kidspot.

“It’s a big question and I hope that people also start to ask men those questions because I think if you’re really hands-on parents, you’re both doing as much work kind of thing. Of course, it’s hard to get a balance. I’m absolutely trying to figure it out every day. Every day is a work in progress, for sure.”

Rose is of course referring to parenting her two boys with partner  and actor Bobby Cannavale, who shares the same view of doing their best to keep their sons out of the spotlight. It’s the reason why you’ll never see their adorable faces shared on her Instagram page.
